Rep. Grimm (R-NY) who were you elected to serve?

“The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity”
~Andre Gide

A letter to my Congressman
Dear Rep. Grimm (R-NY), as a life long Republican I am extremely disappointed and unhappy that you voted for the Ryan plan. The Ryan plan is an attack upon the working people of America and an attack upon medicare which has been a crucial component any person over 65's health care program. If the government could bargain for better rates with big pharma health care costs could come down. If we didn't give 40 billion dollars to a hugely profitable oil industry we would lower our deficit. Their are many more ways of solving the deficit problem but not by taking it from working Americans.

Why do we need to lower taxes on major corporations who barley pay taxes as it is? Why do we need to cut taxes on the rich, whose current tax rates are lower than they have been in 20 years?
Who were you elected to serve? The people or the rich, the corporations, big pharma, or the oil industry? The people are not fooled. As Lincoln, also Republican, said "you can fool all of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time".

  1. Whatever the rates, it's better than what the Democrats propose. In their scenario, the lunatics will have literally "taken over the asylum!" They want people who have had a better lot in life to provide for the less fortunate???

In other words, those of us who have worked our a** off to make it, provide for the less fortunate???

    I don't think so.

There is no difference between people on welfare and those who are not. The have two hands a brain....etc.

The difference is in the attitude. I have witnessed people who can't read become wealthy and also seen people who are very educated lead a life of mediocrity!
