anti-American socialist health care system covers everybody, and it has for forty years and it works and Hawaiians love it, oh my.

“Great physicians and nurses, skilled, caring and unparalleled in their training, intervened in my life and probably saved it. I was lucky but other Americans are not. It is time to speak again and stand again for the ideal that in the richest nation ever on this planet, it is wrong for 41 million Americans, most of them in working families, to worry at night and wake up in the morning without the basic protection of health insurance.
~Senator John Kerry, United States Senator

Health Care and dialogue but the Republicans smell a trap. The Gay Old Party, GOP, holds it's national convention in Hawaii with it's SOCIALIST HEALTH CARE system. Seems the Republicans didn't know that. Hawaii's awful anti-American socialist health care system covers everybody, and it has for forty years and it works and Hawaiians love it, oh my. Obviously they are misguided. They go to a hospital get treated and then go home. What are they missing, being asked what insurance they have, being sent to another hospital 50 miles away if they don't have coverage, high individual premiums. How can they love a system that that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Gelnn Beck John Boehner (R-OH) labels as socialist? Are they mad. Somethings wrong here. I think Hawaii deserves further investigation.
It seems that states that have gone socialistic score better in all areas of care. States that don't score the lowest. As reported in abc.go.news.com, "Vermont, Hawaii, Iowa, Minnesota, Maine and New Hampshire ranked 1 to 5 in 38 indicators of health care. At the bottom were Mississippi, along with Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Nevada and Texas. The Commonwealth Fund Commission's"Scorecard on Health System Performance," which was released today, rated the states on access, quality, costs and health outcomes in a follow up to their 2007 report. Overall, the states which did best on theCommonwealth scorecard were in New England and the upper Midwest, and the worst states were in the South". It has to be a socialist plot, some sneaky trick to undermine the Right who are always right, or maybe just a little bit stupid.

"Stop Monsanto's GMO Contamination

Keep organics safe from GMOs.

Tell the USDA to rejectno-monsanto-gmos_hp.gif Monsanto's application to market its genetically modified alfalfa — a threat to organic crops.

credo_take-action.gif

Dear Friends,

During the Bush administration, Monsanto illegally won USDA approval for its genetically engineered (GE) alfalfa by convincing regulators to bypass a mandatory environmental review. In response to a lawsuit by consumer groups, the courts then stepped in and banned GE alfalfa until the USDA followed the law.

In December, the USDA released its belated review of Monsanto's GE alfalfa seed and determined that Monsanto's alfalfa met the Obama Administration's standards, despite the risk of organic contamination.

This conclusion came despite the acknowledgment by USDA researchers that GE alfalfa is virtually certain to "contaminate" normal seeds. Cross-contamination is the number one concern with genetically engineered crops.

The USDA is accepting public comments on Monsanto's application through February 16. Tell the USDA that Monsanto's alfalfa cannot be approved — the future of organics depends on it.

Organic contamination is devastating for organic farmers, especially organic dairy farmers, most of whom use organic alfalfa for feed. The presence of even the smallest amount of GE material can cause a farm to lose its organic certification. And court documents indicate that early plantings of GE alfalfa did contaminate conventional alfalfa. Yet the USDA maintains that Monsanto's existing safety protocols are good enough. This is ridiculous!

Even worse, the USDA concluded that the possibility of contamination of organic fields is of no concern, since consumers won't care if their organic food or milk contains genetically engineered components. Yet central to the definition of the USDA Organic label is the total absence of genetically modified ingredients. An overwhelming majority of consumers buy organic to avoid GE products and would be shocked to learn the USDA is so cavalier about the risks of transgenic contamination.

Tell the USDA you care about GE contamination. Keep Monsanto's genes out of our food!

Thank you for working to build a better world."

These scum bags deserve to rot in hell for the crap that they have imposed on millions of Americans in the name of free enterprise and profit.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
~Henry Ford, Industrialist

You have to love the banking industry in America. A few years ago congress under the Republican administration toughened the bankruptcy regulations for Americans. This was done for the credit card industry and the banks. Ted Kennedy was a strong opponent of these changes. The Democrats tried to put in a catastrophic clause but the Republicans refused and when Kartina devastated New Orleans the people fell victim to the new tougher bankruptcy regulations still the Republicans refused to create a hardship rule to help them. Basically it was 'fuck you to the Katrina victims'. They were mostly black and poor anyway so why should the Republicans care, it wasn't there constituency.

When the bank failure came on, precipitated by the banking industries risky investment and dishonest lending practices, to homeowners they get bailed out by the federal government because the are "too big to fail" and now they are even bigger. Salon.com reports that that the mortgage crisis has not ended. "According to real-estate data firm First American CoreLogic, about one-fourth of American households with a mortgage are under water -- owing more on their homes than their homes are worth. Mortgage-bond trader Amherst Securities estimates that 7.1 million of the 7.9 households now behind on their mortgage payments will lose their homes to foreclosure if nothing is done to modify their loans." To add insult to injury the very banks that started this, and had to be bailed out and have no compassion for victims of disasters, now take record payoffs. Salon reported that, "Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase & Co. ($17 million for 2009) and Lloyd Blankfein, CEO of Goldman Sachs ($9 million)" in salary, if that is not a 'fuck you America' then I don't know what is. These scum bags deserve to rot in hell for the crap that they have imposed on millions of Americans in the name of free enterprise and profit.

If I did as lousy a job as these pieces of shit and needed a bail out to keep a company afloat that I worked for I would be fired. But not these sons of bitches, these guys get millions instead. I know I sound harsh but if you don't like what I say don't read me. Compared to what these bankers have done my harsh language in nothing when it comes to their real vulgarity and the pain and hardship suffered by millions because of their greed and indifference. These are parasites that have invaded the body of America and are sucking the life from it. If I saw one of these guys on fire I wouldn't piss on him.

Yea, the Republicans really care. Oh, boy do they care. Democrats want death panels, not really!

“It seems to me a barren thing this conservatism - an unhappy cross breed, the mule of politics that engenders nothing”
~Benjamin Disraeli, British statesman and Prime Minister

Yea, the Republicans really care. Oh, boy do they care. Democrats want death panels, not really! Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-WI) plan to destroy Social Security and Medicare would be a disaster and to people who are in their fifties and up, it would literally be a killer. They would be left high and dry. The alternative to medicare would be a bill starting at $11.000 a year and up for families and could go up with inflation and if you retire or are retired and don't have enough income because of Ryan's plan to axe Social security benefits your fucked. Ryan now has seven GOP co-sponsors for his plan to cut Social Security and Medicare. The conservatives will be chomping on the bit to support this disaster for Americans. Some of the GOP leaders are backing away from the Ryan's plan. But "... conservative groups love the plan - which cuts Social Security and Medicare benefits before effectively privatizing the entitlement programs" Of course if the little guy get his ball caught in a vice they won't give a damn. Ryan also supports and 8.5 percent consumer tax which will directly impact the middle and lower income tax payers while supporting tax breaks for the wealthiest members of society. The Democrats may push to have a vote on the floor of the house to see where the Republicans stand on it.

~Langston Hughes, The Black Man Speaks

Harry Reid finally jumps ugly into the face of the GOP. He calls them what they are, obstructionists. They have been holding up presidents Obama's nominees for months and then saying that the president hasn't got people in place. Whose fault is that? The GOPs that who. The Gay Old Party is not acting in the best interest of the country but in the own perverted hate filled interest, and the country be damned. The Republicans are moving more and more to the right and if it continues it will become a party that will have completely lost touch with the middle. They are playing to the ultra conservative evangelicals who pray for president Obama's death. They suck up to the Tea Baggers, the poorly educated poor white mid-Americans with no real grasp on the issues. Those to whom discrimination, hate and bigotry is fine. Those who feel that they have to get that uppity black man out of the White House. The same Tea Baggers who cheered Tom Trancredo who called for de-facto discrimination against blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, and any other group that is different than their white America. The Gay Old Party, once the party of reason and sanity has now lost it's way and it's collective mind.

It is time that the GOP look at itself in the mirror. They keep saying that the Obama administration is going to cut Social Security and Medicare but it is the Republicans with the plan to destroy it. "Last week, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the ranking Republican on the House Budget Committee, unveiled a GOP budget blueprint that slashes Medicare and privatize Social Security. The same plan, incidentally, includes more tax breaks for the wealthy and a "consumption tax" of 8.5% that would unfairly burden the lower- and middle-class." Privatize Medicare and you take a giant step backwards. When the profit motive becomes a factor and the share holders become the ones to please you definitely will see grandma die for lack of treatment. The attack on Social Security is not new, Bush proposed it and faced major objections from Americans across all strata of society. I dare the GOP to attempt to eliminate Social Security, that would be the death knell for any future Republican candidate.

Sarah Palin, Grassley and Cantor where are you now that you can point out a death panel in action?

"The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course."

Sarah Palin, Hypocrite

BREAKING NEWS! There are death panels and one of them is Health America (health insurance company). The have denied the life saving medicine to 5 year old Kyler Van Nocker because it costs too much and they say it is experimental. Of course in the past they did approve medicine that was untested. But now they use the excuse that it is experimental. So now that we have a recognizable Death Panel where is Sarah Palin when you need her. Sarah Palin, Grassley and Cantor where are you now that you can point out a death panel in action? Nowhere to be found, because it is an act by a health insurance company whom they support against fictional Obama death panels. They are Conservative dirt bags who don't give a damn for people and their lives.

Seniors of America your Conservative Republicans have a health plan, and it is to throw you under the bus. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) the ranking Republican on the budget committee has submitted a plan to eliminate Social Security and Medicare. This plan has support among at least nine Republicans while others are moving way from the proposals but not too far. One of the more vocal supporters is Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN). The fact that some Republicans support this proposal is disturbing. The ultra conservative Tea Party will most likely support this as they want government out of their business.

If is smells like a racist, talks like a racist, walks like a racist and acts like a racist it is a racist. Former Republican congressman Tom Tancredo at the Tea Party convention has called for a literacy test to vote. He also called for a language requirement to vote. Jim Crow south is back and it is alive and well in the Tea Party. This is a call to move back to the racist past of America. This was used in the 50's in the south to to prevent black Americans from voting. It is clear that the Tea Baggers support this racist attitude and Republican Conservatives have been noticeably silent on this issue, to their shame. To her credit John McCain's daughter, Meghan, has come forward to call it like it is racism and bigotry. Although an issue that Tea Baggers face is many of their numbers may not be able to pass a literacy test, as one needs to be able to read it to pass it, this is not the most intellectual of groups.

My freedom of religion to hate may be severely curtailed

A man told his grandson: "A terrible fight is going on inside me -- a fight between two wolves. One is evil, and represents hate, anger, arrogance, intolerance, and superiority . The other is good, and represents joy, peace, love, tolerance, understanding, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, and compassion. This same fight is going on inside you, inside every other person too."
