The gull sees farthest who flies highest.

Being far from home is a chance to see things from a different perspective. This part of the world is not that concerned with American politics, it is more or less a side show, that is sometimes a farcical comedy. Looking at my PC I see that the Tea Party loonies are still at it and that there are a number of ingenuous politicians who are pandering to them. I saw a brief video of these schlock politicians pandering and saying things that any intelligent person with any degree of intelligence and ability to think for themselves would find laughable. These people are an embarrassment, and their views don't travel well. To see candidates for governor arguing over who is more for the Tea Party and claiming a belief in intelligent design and questioning and denying scientific fact, plus any number of wacky positions is a is an insult to ones intelligence.
It appears that politicians instead of rising the conversation to a higher moral and intellectual level have dumbed down their brains and message and sunk to new lows by serving those that in another time would have been assigned to the category of, not too bright but potentially dangerous, and not worth giving the time of day too. This maybe the time that the loonies and wackos will win the day, they say every dog has it's day, but if they do we will go the way of the Do Do Bird.
I earned my BA Degree at Queens College CUNY, in Political Science, and MA from College of Staten Island CUNY, in Liberal Studies. PhM in Metaphysics, studying the Egyptian Mystery school and its effect on western thinking. My other interest are masonic history, western civilization, specifically ancient Rome through the renaissance. My other pursuit is Shotokan Karate, an interest that has consumed beginning in 1960. I hold a 8 degree black belt in Shotokan Karate from the World Traditional Karate Organization, WTKO. www.wtko.org I hold a 3rd degree in Iaido, Japanese sword art including a variety of martial arts weapons and close combat techniques.
