Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid people, it is true that most stupid people are conservative.
~John Stuart Mill
Six hours in a car with a friend who every so often between smoking and napping rants on about the conservative agenda was intellectually painful. He covered the oil spill and the need for more drilling and the un-fairness of president Obama of holding BP's feet to the fire to the liberal lie about global climate change and how the planet is cooling and all data to the contrary is false. And there was painfully more so much more. Of course he is a Fox Lier News watcher. There should be a warning whenever anyone turns to Fox that it will dumb down your brain. To my friends credit if Fox didn't exist he would still think the way he does. He likes to simplify and spin it the way he wants it. He is a corporate type and believes in the capitalist system in it's purest form. The fact that capitalism in it's purest form hurts people and exploits the most vulnerable in society is of no importance to true pure capitalists.
Terms like social justice, inclusion are dirty words to my friend. He supports, guns, corporations, banks, health insurance companies the tea party, Sarah Palin and every other issues that is on the Right. Next time I take a long road trip with my friend I must remember to take my Ipod.

"The first five months of 2010 have been the warmest in recorded history. But have you seen that story covered by the corporate media? Nope - and you aren't likely to any time soon either ... at least until the records become so widespread and intense that there's no longer much we can do about them.
Both the NASA and NOAA analyses of global temperatures have marked the warmest month of May, the warmest 3-month March to May period and the warmest 5-month January to May period in recorded human history. Both datasets go back 131 years into the past. The warmest month, 3-month and 5-month periods out of 131 other years has been reached. Perhaps if the highest scoring Super Bowl in history had just occurred, some corporate entity might be interested in covering it." www.squarestate.net
"The truth shall set you free", where have I heard that before?
